Digital Escape Room with Genially
📝 Resource description
A digital escape room is a gamified learning resource in which students must solve puzzles in order to complete a mission.
The challenges can be related to different language-based tasks like reading comprehension, grammar, phonetics, vocabulary, listening to clues... all presented within a motivating narrative.
Digital escape rooms are organized into different "rooms" and students must complete each challenge correctly to move to another one.
There are many digital tools we can use to create digital escape rooms, but I found Genially the best one because you can choose a template and modify it with the content you want your students acquire. The platform also includes interactive elements, such as images, audios, videos, animation... All this makes the experience immersive and engaging for young EFL students.

The main purpose is to encourage students to use English in an actively and meaningful way. Escape rooms help to:
- Promote problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Adapt the content to all learning paces.
- Increase active participation through gamification.
